Mike Hooper has been elected as the Show Chairman for 2008. A member of the Exe Valley Rotary Club for many years he brings a new approach and enthusiasm to the job. He has the support of the previous (old!) committee and will be looking at ways to take the Show forward to even greater heights.
Mike Hooper and the other members of the Rotary Club show committee are now putting together the next big show: Bridwell Park Country Fair which is going to be held Sunday 7th September 2008. Visit the site for more details.

Bringing pleasure to the Culm Valley community is the basis for the Uffculme Show. The excitement of the funfair with it's dodgems and big wheel for the children or even adults. A Kennel Club registered Dog Show and a Sheep Show which is growing year on year. Trade Stands offering virtually everything from Home Cooked Delicacies or Plants for the Garden to Jewelery or Hot Tubs. Quality Hot Food mobile caterers will attend. Main Ring attractions will include the Sea Cadets Gun Carriage display, the Army Cadets Wall Climbing demo and of course the Classic Car & Tractor parade. Falconry exhibits and display. Live Music from the Blackdown Samba Band, Devils Elbow (Celtic Band) and the the George Formby Society Band. The Cullompton and Tiverton Puma Tae Kwon Do will be in action. Ladies Wheelchair Dancing Team. Culm Valley Young Farmers Tug of War. A display by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and the Uffculme Primary School Maypole dance troop.
And hopefully more on the day.

The Rotary Club of Exe Valley is very proud to be able to organise the Uffculme Show. Uffculme located centrally in the Culm Valley with its river that feeds into the Exe. So too could the people of the Culm Valley be associated with Exe Valley Rotary and the wider Rotary International Organization. The largest membership organization in the World. Offering "Service above Self " as it's moto. Almost every one knows of the work of "Shelter Box" originally organized by the Helston Rotary Club. But not so many are aware that Polio has virtually been eliminated around the World by the efforts and dedication of Rotary International and the funds raised by Clubs, like ours, all around the World. That is just two of the international campaigns of Rotary. On a more local basis we at Exe Valley support the Tiverton Hospital (and the Friends of), Childrens Hospice South West and many other local causes. To see more of Rotary click on the Link at the foot of this page.

Any profits from the Uffculme Show will be managed by the Exe Valley Rotary Club. The funds will be distributed to worthy causes both locally and further afield
We really hope you come along and enjoy a pleasurable country activity day. Set on a south facing field looking across the beautiful Culm Valley. All we need is your company and some fair weather.
